Alfredo De La Cruz: My political ideology falls under solid liberal, which probably explains my recent appreciation for Bernie Sanders. My only political experience has been voting in the 2016 general election. I am honestly taking this class because it is a requirement in order to transfer to a university. Nonetheless, I gained an interests for politics during the 2016 presidential election which caused me to become excited for this course. What I hope to get out this class is become less ignorant about what is going on in our local Texas government. I would like to learn about the political decisions that previous and current Texas governors made and how they affected this state. On the general knowledge quiz I knew the answer to four of the questions, and on the political knowledge quiz I only knew that both Texas senators are republican and that the majority of Texas representatives are republican as well.
